EXPLANATION OF CLASSES
Hours of operation vary based on season. Students will be given a lunch period. Lunches can brought by students or ordered from a local restaurant. The classroom portion of instruction is 30 hrs over 4 days and includes lectures on traffic laws and regulations, signs, traffic lights, and markings, correct and safe driving procedures, emergencies, driving hazards including weather, alcohol, and drug abuse, motorcycle safety, interstate driving, and driving offenses. A test will be administered the last day that requires a passing score of at least 80%. After this students will be trained in dual-brake training vehicles. Students are scheduled in four two-hour blocks on different days and will be picked up by the instructor at their home, school, or workplace within a 10 mile radius. Students must ensure that they are at the agreed pickup location at the appointed time. No student will be given a certificate before meeting these requirements.

REFUND POLICY
Deposits and payments are non refundable. Students may reschedule another class date if they are unable to attend the original class. Please call as soon as possible if you or your child will not be able to attend any class.

ABSENCE
If any necessary absence occurs during the classroom portion of instruction contact the office to work out when the class time can be made up. If a student misses any classroom portion the class must be made up at an additional fee of $100 per day, and $25 per cancelled driving lesson. No certificate will be awarded until the course requirements are met.

Class/Driving Cancellation
Classes or Driving sessions will be cancelled in the event of extremely inclimate weather (i.e. hurricane, tornado, etc…) which put our students in danger. Blue Line Driving Academy staff will contact the students regarding rescheduling.

Grievance policy
You will find that Blue Line Driving Academy will strive to settle any issues. Any grievance(s) not resolved by the school may be forwarded to the Department of Public Safety Corrections, Office of Motor Vehicles, Attention: CDL and Commercial Driving Schools Unit, P.O. Box 64886, Baton Rouge, LA 70896



STANDARD OF BEHAVIOR
Students are expected to arrive on time and maintain a courteous and respectful attitude. Cheating will not be tolerated. Any student caught cheating will be asked to leave. Cell phones are not permitted to be on during class room or driving time. Any cell phone usage during this time will result in student’s removal from the class without a refund.

DISABLED STUDENTS
Students with hearing, speech, or learning disabilities should notify Blue Line Driving Academy prior to enrolling and will be eligible for alternative teaching and testing techniques.

DISCLAIMERS
Completion of any course at Blue Line Driving Academy does not guarantee that a driver’s license will be awarded to a student nor will this course count for any school credit. Students may qualify for a discount on auto insurance premiums; contact your agent for details.
